Electric upsetter for the machining of big workpieces.
This is the largest of the FTB electric upsetters and because of its size can only be built with a horizontal structure.
This upsetter is capable of machining workpieces up to 12 cm in diameter, upsetting bars, usually in carbon steel or stainless steel, with a length of up to 2.7 metres!
This machine is widely used in the naval industry or however in large structures that require large elements, such as pins for locking iron rings on docks for mooring ships or bollards.
Due to its huge size, this upsetter cannot be designed with an inverter, but is made only with SCR units (control systems).
In addition to the naval industry, it is also found in the automotive industry to manufacture large earth-moving traction elements (e.g. the "hub" for tractor or bulldozer wheels).
Like every FTB upsetter, the ER80/OM is supplied with manual, semi-automatic, and automatic operation or complete with loading system.
